As a South Carolina native, originally from Greenville, I graduated in the spring of 2021 from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Mass Communications; it came as no surprise to anyone, as I spent years of religiously watching episodes of Anthony Bourdain and devouring every magazine and newspaper I could get my hands on.

During my time at USC, I also developed a large interest in the social politics of the progressive South, which I examined through a cognate of courses in Women and Gender Studies and Southern Studies.

Throughout my college career, I was able to foster strong writing and content-creating skills through freelance media and editing jobs, a position on USC’s magazine, Garnet & Black, and a digital media internship at COLAtoday, which allowed me to collaborate with an amazing team as I broadened my skills in social media and content creation.

When I’m not taking on freelance projects, you can find me scouring local record stores for additions to my record collection, painting, and visiting new restaurants in the Columbia area.
